MOT View: Key Reading absence could see Leeds take advantage

Marcelo Bielsa will quickly be switching his attention to Leeds’ trip to Reading on Tuesday evening.

His side showed great character to grab a last-minute winner at Luton Town and he will be looking for more of the same against the Royals.

The Whites will be searching for areas to exploit Mark Bowen’s side in the hunt for yet another three points away from home.

Andy Yiadom has been one of Reading’s standout players this season, and it has been confirmed that he will miss the clash at the Madejski Stadium.

Yiadom picked up his fifth booking of the season for a challenge on Rico Henry against Brentford. Berkshire Live has reported that Chris Gunter is now expected to replace him on Tuesday evening.

The Ghanaian defender has been influential at the back as well as going forward, delivering three assists – the second-most in their entire squad.

Yiadom has also completed 1.9 tackles per game according to WhoScored, which is the third-highest amount of the players that have started 10 or more games this season.

His probable replacement, Gunter, has yet to start a single game in this campaign – something that Leeds could really exploit.

Jack Harrison will most likely keep his place on the left-hand side, and he could make it a long night for the Welsh international.

The winger has been involved in seven goals already this season, the second-most in the Leeds squad, and matching his total from the previous campaign.

Harrison is full of confidence on the ball right now, and the fact that Gunter is set to feature for the first time this season could mean he is set for a torrid time against the Whites on Tuesday.
