MOT View: Bielsa analysis will highlight one clear danger for Leeds v Huddersfield
Leeds United are the in-form team in the Championship at this moment and welcome Huddersfield Town to Elland Road on Saturday looking to extend that run.
The 4-0 win over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium made it four wins in a row, as well as four consecutive clean-sheets for the Whites as they went one point behind table-toppers West Brom.
Huddersfield also made it two wins on the bounce with their own 4-0 victory against Charlton on Saturday, although a trip to their West Yorkshire rivals is a much tougher clash.
Leeds won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in December, and it was quite a straight forward outing at the John Smiths Stadium.
Marcelo Bielsa will know that things have changed since then, and his analysis this week will single out one clear danger for the Terriers – Karlan Grant.
The 22-year-old has scored 16 goals as well as assisting a further four in the Championship during his 33 appearances.
Grant scored twice in Saturday’s 4-0 win over his former side and will go into the clash at Elland Road in great form.
The 22-year-old can play anywhere across the front three and has tasted great success on the left-hand side for Huddersfield – pay attention Luke Ayling.
Grant’s last two performances have been two of his best this season so he will be on top form come Saturday. He has had 13 attempts on goal according to WhoScored, as well as three key passes prove that he can both score and create goals.
If you compare that to the impressive Jack Harrison on Leeds’ left, the Manchester City loanee has only managed five shots on goal and the same amount of key passes according to WhoScored in the past two games.
Those numbers prove that Grant is essential for Huddersfield, who could rely on him to try and claim points at Elland Road on Saturday.
