Max Wober ‘finished’ at Leeds United after what happened with Daniel Farke
Max Wober has had a troubled time at Leeds United, and it may come to an end this summer.
With Leeds United looking set for a Premier League return, plenty of focus will have already turned to the decisions that will be needed in the summer from a recruitment perspective.
While the majority of those decisions will be based on incoming, amid links to Tammy Abraham, the future of several current first-team players will also come into question, with Wober perhaps high up the list of priorities in that regard.
The Austrian international has made just six appearances for the Whites this season, playing a total of 307 Championship minutes with injuries taking their toll.

Daniel Farke surely ready to sanction Wober exit
If Leeds are to get promoted, it wouldn’t be surprising to see several players depart Elland Road, and it would be even less surprising if one of those were to be Wober, based on what has happened in the past.
Farke is believed to be still frustrated by the fact that Wober opted to move to Monchengladbach last season, as opposed to staying and aiding the promotion push of the Whites.
The relationship between the two is said to be “tense” and “unlikely to improve” [Peter Linden], and with that in mind, it’s highly unlikely that Farke will be overly keen on having him in the squad next season.
Championship | Appearances | Minutes | Duels won | Passes |
Max Wober | 6 | 307 | 23 | 106 |
If Wober can get his injury troubles behind him, there is a good chance he will have several suitors in the summer, having impressed during his spell in Germany.
As for now, the main focus of Farke will be securing promotion ahead of the final 12 games of the Championship campaign.

Leeds could axe several players from the squad this summer
While Wober is one you would perhaps expect to leave, there are several other players who could depart with Patrick Bamford another high on the list.
His impact has been minimal, being generous, and given the wages he is on, Leeds will surely be looking to find an exit route for him.
However, for the large part, Farke will be keen on keeping as much of his squad together as possible in a bid to have another successful season.
