Leeds United: Unnamed Premier League club tables offer to Austrian international Florian Grillitsch
An unnamed Premier League club has tabled an official offer to Florian Grillitsch who was previously linked to Leeds United.
The Telegraph revealed (15 April) that Leeds were interested in the 26-year-old Austrian international who has become a free agent after his Hoffenheim deal expired.
However, The Express’ Ryan Taylor has reported (via Twitter) on Wednesday 20 July that an unnamed club has tabled an offer to the midfielder with it currently “under consideration”.
It has also been suggested that Galatasaray and Besiktas are also interested after his move to Fiorentina collapsed.
With the Yorkshire side previously linked to the midfielder, it would not be a shock if Leeds are indeed the unnamed club that has placed a contract offer on the table.
The 26-year-old would add plenty of experience to Leeds’ midfield and would also provide the Whites with depth heading into the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Grillitsch has been capped 31 times by the Austrian national team and has been a Bundesliga regular for Hoffenheim and Weder Bremen previously.
He would be another Bundesliga addition to Jesse Marsch’s squad and could fit in well in the heart of the Whites midfield with Tyler Adams and Marc Roca.
Whether Leeds are the club that have tabled an offer remains to be seen, but it could well be a value move for Marsch to look at with no transfer fee involved for the 26-year-old.
Leeds fans will be hoping for a couple more additions to their ranks before the window closes with a striker certainly the priority for Marsch heading into the new season.
In other Leeds United news, Jesse Marsch is extremely keen on bringing an ‘Exceptional’ striker to Elland Road this summer and has learnt his transfer valuation.
