Leeds United target Rasmus Kristensen's impressive attacking numbers revealed

Rasmus Kristensen’s attacking statistics should excite Leeds United fans after it was revealed the RB Salzburg full-back was being targetted by Jesse Marsch.

As first revealed by The Athletic on Tuesday [31 May], the Whites are reportedly tracking the 24-year-old after finalising a move for his Salzburg teammate Brenden Aaronson last Thursday [26 May].

If Marsch does pursue a move for the Denmark international then the Elland Road faithful should begin to get excited about what he could produce in Yorkshire.

Kristensen has 15 goals and 14 assists in all competitions for the Austrian side this season, whilst featuring predominantly as a right-back.

As per Wyscout, he has the highest expected goals and assists out of any defender in the Austrian Bundesliga with 9.51 and is the only defender in the top 30 players.

Furthermore, Kristensen is in the top ten for expected assists this season with 4.95 and has attempted the most crosses in the league with 118.

The 24-year-old is not afraid to put a ball into the box when he needs to and will always look to be an attacking outlet whenever he can.

Kristensen also ranks fourth in the league for key passes with 21, indicating that he has the awareness to play incisive attacking passes through to players higher up the field.

High, fast and verticle passing such as this could be something Marsch looks to implement into this Leeds United side next season.

Kristensen is a modern full back that prioritises going forward as opposed to his defensive duties, so if he was to feature for Leeds next season they would need to ensure their would be adequate cover for when he drives forward.

Either utilising a back-three or ensuring a defensive midfielder covers his position would be a must if Marsch wants a player like Kristensen in his side.

In other Leeds United news, this player is considering his options at Elland Road despite only signing last year.
