Crysencio Summerville achieves something no other Leeds United player has in five years v Norwich City
Crysencio Summerville had a stormer as Leeds United recovered from two goals down to beat Norwich City at the weekend.
That much was already clear, but now a stat has emerged that highlights just how good the Dutch youngster was at Carrow Road.
As pointed out by Opta’s Jonny Cooper on Twitter [23 October], Summerville achieved something in that win over that no other Leeds player has done since April 2018.
Not since Pablo Hernandez against Sunderland five-and-a-half-years ago has a Leeds player completed both at least five take-ons and created five-or-more chances in a game.
The Netherlands Under-21 international created six chances in total, making his performance all the more impressive.
Summerville levelled up the contest at 2-2 and then found the winner with a superb solo goal late on that saw him carry the ball 42 metres.
That is the furthest distance a player has carried the ball before scoring a winning goal in the Championship this season, as per Opta.

If it was not clear beforehand, Summerville is now very much one of Daniel Farke’s ‘undroppables’.
The fixtures may be coming thick and fast for United, but the 21-year-old has to start every game in which he is fit.
Summerville has three goals and an assist across Leeds’ past three matches, showing he has now well and truly found his feet after a summer of disruption.
That can only be a good thing for the Whites as they aim to keep up their push for an instant return to the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, a player dropped a “can’t do that” admission after the contest at Carrow Road on Saturday (21 October).
