Leeds United line up Oliver Skipp transfer to replace Glen Kamara
Leeds United have already had a massive overhaul in their midfield throughout the summer transfer window.
The West Yorkshire outfit are vying for Premier League promotion after narrowly missing out in the playoff final at the end of last season.
This time around, Daniel Farke’s men will be looking to better their result and perhaps even finish in the automatic promotion spots to avoid playoff heartbreak once again.
Archie Gray is the biggest exit from Elland Road of the window but for the vast majority of the term, he wasn’t deployed in his natural role of defensive midfield.
Glen Kamara, on the other hand, was a constant for Leeds in the centre of the park and although he didn’t grab headlines, he was solid enough.
The former Rangers man is 28 years old and Leeds have now agreed on a £8.5million fee with Rennes for his impending exit from Elland Road [Fabrizio Romano, 13 July].
Farke will be on the lookout for replacements already and Oliver Skipp is surely an option again.
Leeds United should step up their transfer pursuit of Oliver Skipp
Skipp is a player who has been linked with a move to Elland Road since the end of last season [Alasdair Gold, 1 July].
Although the midfielder played a fair few games for Tottenham last term, at the age of 23, it’s likely that he will want regular first-team football.
This would not only allow him to further develop his skillset but also allow him to show fans and perhaps even other clubs the talent he possesses.

Although Leeds’ interest seems to have died down recently, Skipp will still be in the back of Farke’s mind, especially because he knows how good of a player he is.
The pair worked together at Norwich and it’s not a surprise that the German wants to link back up with the Spurs academy graduate, something which could become reality now.
In other Leeds news, Brighton have made their final decision on Crysencio Summerville.
