Leeds United have Willy Gnonto concern after what he was seen doing
Willy Gnonto was seen limping down the tunnel after Leeds United’s victory against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night and could be a big concern for the Whites.
An emphatic 3-1 victory against the Teessiders sent Leeds back to the summit of the Championship on 10 December, but concerns over the wellbeing of Gnonto may overshadow the result.
According to BBC Radio Leeds presenter Jonathan Buchan, the Italian was seen “limping off the field” after being substituted in the second half, as quoted by Leeds United News [11 December].
While no update has been provided on Gnonto, the potential absence of the forward could be of great concern to Leeds.
Willy Gnonto is crucial to Leeds United
Leeds certainly deserve their spot at the top of the Championship, having impressed throughout the majority of the campaign, and Gnonto has played a huge role in that.
The Italian previously highlighted his level of contribution as the main area of improvement in his game but, without him, the Whites would simply not be in the title conversation.
Gnonto opened the scoring for Leeds on Tuesday and was generally impressive throughout the encounter before being substituted in the 69th minute.

His goal takes him up to nine contributions so far this season, many of which have been crucial in Leeds earning a result.
Simply put, any concerns over his immediate availability should be of great concern and would severely damage the Whites’ ability to pick up a significant amount of points over the festive period.
