Leeds United have to sign Elia Caprile to new deal after his agent’s comments
Leeds United currently have the luxury of an undisputed number one in goal but they have to sign another of their shot-stoppers to a longer deal soon.
Elia Caprile is currently plying his trade out on loan at Serie C side Pro Patria and has featured in every league game for them this season.
At just 20 years of age, he still has a year or two to learn his trade further in a more difficult division but his current contract at Elland Road is set to expire this summer.

With only really Kristoffer Klaesson as a backup to Meslier, Jesse Marsch could do with a third option between the sticks and it would be a rather foolish move to sign someone when a perfectly adequate option is already at the club.
Caprile’s agent, Graziano Battistini, recently revealed that they are planning new talks with Leeds although there could be a potential deal for him to stay in Italy too.
“Elia is part of an important reality like Leeds. We will discuss with the club at the end of the year,” Battistini said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
It is Napoli themselves who seem to be a potential destination for the 20-year-old as Battistini also said “Definitely playing with Napoli is a boy’s dream, but it is useless to raise fuss.”

Marsch can’t afford for one of his few goalkeepers to head out of the door permanently as he has far too much to sort out in the outfield areas already.
It is likely to be a very busy summer for the Whites with this season not going how anyone was hoping and they could do without the upheaval in the keepers’ union too.
In other Leeds United news, Tony Dorigo has reacted to this “dreadful” incident that happened at the weekend in the 4-0 loss against Manchester City.
