Leeds United fans have every right to lose their minds over official reveal on Friday

Leeds United fans have been left unhappy by the new home kit release which features Red Bull as the front-of-shirt sponsor.

The Whites shared the announcement via X (5 July) to share images of Dan James, Mateo Joseph and Ethan Ampadu in the new shirt.

The design features a white body with blue trim with some yellow in the collar but this isn’t the design choice that has caught the eye.

After investment and sponsorship from Red Bull was announced there were some initial reservations about how that would look on the kits.

Leeds fans’ worst fears have been realised with their red and yellow logo sitting in the middle of their new kit for the upcoming campaign.

Leeds United announce kit with Red Bull sponsor

There is plenty of positives to take from the Red Bull sponsorship which has helped the Whites out of a financial hole after missing out on promotion.

Archie Gray has been sold to Tottenham but so far other stars like Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto are still at Elland Road.

Although with that being said, it may say a lot that neither has featured in the main image for the kit launch.

Although Leeds can thank the energy drink giant for their investment, having a red and yellow sponsor on a Leeds shirt isn’t going to leave fans pleased.

The kit itself is a typical shirt for the Whites and is arguably one of their best in recent years if it wasn’t for the sponsor design.

There is so much they could have done with the logo, whether it be just text or the colours being changed to blue and yellow.

At the end of the day, there could be worse problems to have but Leeds fans will voice their opinion on the new shirt in the coming days.

In other Leeds United news, a Willy Gnonto exit update has emerged at Elland Road after Brighton opened summer transfer talks.
