Leeds United all set for Premier League as Emmanuel Latte Lath update drops
Leeds United have been linked with a move for Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath and if they can pull it off, they can start planning for a Premier League campaign next season.
As per Leeds United News [7 January], the Whites are said to be lining up a move for Latte Lath in a bid to address one of the two glaring concerns at Elland Road.
The lack of a natural goalscorer has been an issue for Leeds this season, with Joel Piroe being the closest thing they have to one, while the other concern comes at the opposite end of the pitch.
Illan Meslier has proven just as costly, if not more so, than the lack of a clinical finisher with his performance against Hull City a 90-minute showcase of his season so far.
However, if the league leaders can somehow fend off Premier League interest and acquire the services of Latte Lath, planning could all but begin for a 25/26 Premier League season.
Latte Lath could fire Leeds United back to the Premier League
While there will still be many other factors to consider between now and the end of the campaign, the signing of a proven, clinical Championship goalscorer would do absolute wonders for Leeds’ chances of achieving promotion, of which they are already in a good spot to do so.
Latte Lath fits that bill perhaps more than anyone at the moment, with his performances on Teesside earning him rave reviews, and it’s not just the 10 goals he has scored attracting attention.
In fact, his all-round play and blistering pace have seen him become a well-respected figure in the second tier and, whichever club he ends up at, they will be getting a remarkable striker due to enter his prime.

While it has been claimed Leeds expect to do minimal business this window [Graham Smyth], the Whites cannot afford to rest on their laurels and sit back while promotion rivals strengthen their own hopes.
Latte Lath’s arrival may appear unlikely at the current stage, but with Daniel Farke’s side in a good spot to achieve promotion, he may be tempted with the move.
In other Leeds news, the Whites are readying a move for this defender despite what happened recently.
