Jack Harrison looks mentally checked-out as footage of Leeds United winner v Bournemouth emerges
The January transfer window is rapidly approaching and that almost certainly means more links for Jack Harrison to leave Leeds United.
The attacking midfielder was subject to heavy interest from Newcastle United during the summer, but Leeds held firm and rejected bids to keep him at Elland Road ahead of offering him new terms.
He started the season well too, but recently has found himself in and out of the team as Jesse Marsch looks to find the best balance in his team while he clings on for dear life to keep his job.
That is likely to lead to more speculation that an exit could be on the cards this winter, especially with a new contract yet to be agreed or signed and Newcastle flying in the top four.
But with that being said, it seems that Harrison may have already checked out at Elland Road given his reaction to the winning goal in the 4-3 win over Bournemouth last weekend (5 November).
New footage from LUTV shows the bench going ballistic as Crysencio Summerville was put through on goal and slotted past the goalkeeper, but eagle-eyed supporters noticed Harrison.
The 25-year-old was seen sat with his bum firmly on the bench in the dugout alongside defender Junior Firpo with his arms crossed, while the entire stadium supporting Leeds celebrated wildly.
There was no emotion, no joy and seemingly not a car in the world from Harrison. Could he potentially be on his way out?
Harrison has made himself a key man at Leeds in recent seasons and Marsch is a big fan, but with his contract situation as it is (currently expiring in 2024) and interest from super-rich clubs like Newcastle, the club simply can’t rule out a sale.
If his attitude is accurately reflected in his reaction to that goal then he probably already has one foot out of the door, and it won’t be a bad thing to see him leave.
