Farke to axe Piroe in two changes – Leeds United predicted XI v Plymouth Argyle
Junior Firpo and Mateo Joseph are predicted to return in two changes to the Leeds United starting XI to take on Plymouth Argyle at Elland Road.
Jayden Bogle will be absent from the Championship clash due to suspension and Daniel Farke could choose to axe Joel Piroe after his lacklustre outing in the Whites’ 2-1 win over Bristol City last time out.
The Whites will still be without Largie Ramazani due to injury so the in-form Dan James will likely keep his spot in Farke’s squad.
Sam Byram needs to be given another run out for Leeds United
Illan Meslier will assume his regular role between the sticks after the Frenchman has been in decent form over the last few weeks.
As Bogle is suspended, Sam Byram will likely be slotted into Farke’s starting XI once again after an immense performance against Bristol City last time out.
Pascal Strujk and Joe Rodon will obviously take up the two centre-back spots and will be hoping their formidable start to the season carries on against the Pilgrims.
Junior Firpo will be brought back into the team after he missed the last game against the Robins due to suspension.
Ao Tanaka and Joe Rodon will be the Whites’ defensive midfielders but Josuha Guilavogui could be given a bit of a cameo appearance towards the end of the clash to allow one of the pair to have a bit of a rest.

James’ last performance against the Robins will no doubt help him keep his spot in Farke’s starting XI after the attacker more than impressed last time out. Indeed, Manor Solomon could be in with an outside shout to start but his recent form has left a lot to be desired.
Brenden Aaronson will likely want to continue his redemption arc and will find himself as Leeds’ playmaker for the clash, occupying the number 10 role.
On the right, Willy Gnonto will help lead the Whites’ attack and will also be hoping his recent run of good form continues.
Last but not least, even though £12million signing Piroe has started Leeds’ last three games, he was hooked off the pitch early in each clash and failed to offer much. Hence, why Joseph could find himself returning as Leeds’ focal point.
