Daniel Farke can breathe sigh of relief after Brenden Aaronson Leeds United update

Brenden Aaronson was absent from the United States squad for their encounter with Jamaica but is expected to re-join training with the group on Friday.

The news of his absence perhaps provided a slight concern for Daniel Farke who has seen his squad ravaged with injuries over the past few weeks although the update should ease those immediately.

Prior to the encounter with Jamaica on Thursday (14 November), USMNT confirmed Aaronson was missing due to showing “flu-like symptoms” but also revealed: “He is currently in St. Louis and will be joined by the team tomorrow.”

Daniel Farke can not afford more absentees at Leeds United

The Whites have had an impressive campaign so far, sitting just two points behind the joint league leaders of Sunderland and Sheffield United although without injuries, they could be top.

Ethan Ampadu has been a key component to Farke’s side and his absence has been felt at Elland Road even throughout a string of positive results.

Aaronson is a key figure at Leeds United and his presence is crucial. With five goal contributions, he has showcased his ability as a top-level Championship player.

If Leeds had to deal with his absence, it would leave a glaring hole in the creativity department but thankfully, it doesn’t appear to be something that Farke will have to consider.

Much of Leeds’ promotion hopes will hinge on their ability to maintain a fully fit squad between now and January when they will be able to bring in some new faces to provide additional quality and depth.
