Farke axes Ramazani, two changes – Leeds United predicted XI v Blackburn

Largie Ramazani could be one of two players to drop out of the Leeds United starting XI in their Championship clash against Blackburn on Wednesday.

The Whites may also look at dropping Mateo Joseph as the games are coming thick and fast over the festive season.

Although Ao Tanaka could also be dropped for Joe Rothwell for their upcoming clash, after the performance he put in against Derby on Sunday (29 December) it feels likely that the German will stick with the Japan international partnering Ethan Ampadu in the centre.

Dan James will, however, be the second change to Leeds’ team as he is set to enter the fold in the place of Ramazani after his substitute appearance turned Leeds’ tempo up almost instantly after he was brought on.

Daniel Farke to drop Mateo Joseph for Joel Piroe in Leeds United v Blackburn

As has been the case for the entirety of the season thus far, Illan Meslier is expected to be the man between the sticks for the Whites, despite his recent blunder against Preston.

The defensive line will likely stay the exact same as it was more than solid last time out with Jayden Bogle in at right back, Pascal Struijk and Joe Rodon at centre-back and last but not least, Sam Byram in left-back.

As aforementioned, the centre of the park is also likely to stay the same due to the chemistry that both Ampadu and Tanaka showed with one another in their game against the Rams on 29 December.

Up next is the attacking midfielder and, much like Meslier, as has been the case for all of the campaign, Brenden Aaronson is expected to take up the number 10 role as the West Yorkshire outfit’s only natural attacking midfielder.

On the wing is where we will see our first change as James will likely come in for Ramazani due to the quick turnaround of games while Willy Gnonto will keep his place on the right.

Last but certainly not least we have Piroe as the striker, Farke has interchanged between Joseph and Piroe since the start of the campaign and with how thick and fast games are set to come, a switch-up makes sense.

In other Leeds news, the Whites need to prove Adam Pope wrong and give Daniel Farke a January gift to help them earn Premier League promotion.
