Farke axes Meslier after what he did – Leeds predicted XI v Harrogate

Daniel Farke could make wholesale changes to his Leeds United side with Illan Meslier among eight changes for the FA Cup tie against Harrogate Town.

The Whites welcome the League Two side to Elland Road on Saturday (11 January) and could drop the Frenchman after a horrorshow against Hull City.

Joe Rodon, Max Wober, Ao Tanaka, Manor Solomon, Daniel James and Joel Piroe could all be rested by Farke with a Championship clash against Sheffield Wednesday coming up.

This could see James Debayo, Sam Byram, Josuha Guilavogui, Largie Ramazani, Wilfried Gnonto and Mateo Joseph come into the starting XI.

Given the level of opposition coming to LS11, this number of changes may prove to be worth the risk with one eye on the Championship promotion race.

Daniel Farke to make eight Leeds United changes v Harrogate

Meslier made a dreadful mistake last time out against Hull City and this FA Cup clash provides the perfect opportunity for him to miss out while Darlow could get a start.

Ahead of the Englishman, Ethan Ampadu and Jayden Bogle could keep their places and be joined by fringe players Byram and Debayo to form a back four.

To provide some steel to the midfield, Guilavogui could take up a role in the midfield alongside Rothwell who may keep his spot in the side.

Aaronson has been in a positive run of form and recent weeks and is deserving of a role in the starting XI and could be flanked by two changed wingers in Ramazani and Gnonto who will be keen to impress Farke ahead of a return to league action next week.

Ahead of this trio, Joseph could be set to come in from the start again ahead of Piroe. The Spaniard has lost his role in the starting XI in recent weeks and will be another who will want to show his quality with a view to returning for the Whites on a regular basis.
