Daniel Farke has named an unchanged starting XI as Leeds United prepare to welcome Watford to Elland Road on Tuesday (22 October).

This means that, despite scoring the second goal to seal all three points against Sheffield United last time out, Mateo Joseph is left out of the starting XI once again [Official X account].

Of course, it would be extremely harsh to take Joel Piroe out of the team, especially given his form with four goals in his last seven games, but Joseph will feel he deserved a start against the Hornets.

With Farke choosing to name the same team that beat the Blades, Illan Meslier starts in goal, protected by a back four of Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk and Junior Firpo.

Ahead of them, midfield duo Joe Rothwell and Ao Tanaka impressed so both keep their spots in the team, allowing the quartet of Wilfried Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson, Largie Ramazani and Piroe to attack.

Leeds have a brilliant chance to build upon the 2-0 win over Sheffield United and move level on points with league leaders Sunderland, at least until the Black Cats play Luton Town on Wednesday 23 October.

However, the only reason that the Whites were able to consolidate their previous win was through substitute Joseph, replacing Ramazani and scoring just 11 minutes later.

He will undoubtedly be used as a second-half substitute because, even with just two goals so far this season, he is an incredible threat in the Leeds team and will be desperate to score again.
