Dan James has no right being in Leeds United starting XI v Leicester City despite return
Leeds United should be full of confidence going into their top-of-the-table clash against Leicester City.
Elland Road plays host to the Championship encounter on Friday (23 February), with the home side in second place and the visitors in first.
It is, however, Leeds who are more in form, with Leicester having lost their most recent match against Middlesbrough.
That should give the hosts a great boost before kick-off, but so will the return of star winger Dan James, who has returned from injury.
The Wales international has been superb under Daniel Farke this season, with the winger boasting 10 goals and seven assists from his 31 matches in all competitions.
Will Farke start James in Leeds United versus Leicester?
But even with that form, a starting spot is by no means guaranteed thanks to the form of his fellow winger Willy Gnonto.
The Italian international has forced his way back into Farke’s thoughts, and he has repaid his manager massively, with the attacker registering a stunning five goals and one assist in his last five matches in all competitions.
The run began with the winner against Bristol City earlier this month, with Gnonto adding to that goal with more league strikes against Swansea (two) and Plymouth Argyle.
Plymouth were again his victim in the FA Cup, with the forward finding the back of the net in the fourth round replay win.

That form is definitely enough for Farke to start Gnonto against the Foxes at Elland Road, with James certain to come off the bench at some point in order to bring fresh energy to the home side.
