Daniel Farke has been dealt several injury blows at Leeds United so far this season.

As well as Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev being unavailable at the same time, the Whites have had to contend without one of their most experienced players in Patrick Bamford.

With Max Wober and Largie Ramazani also making it onto the treatment table in recent weeks, Farke has been rightfully praised for the continuous stream of positive results at Elland Road and away from home.

Now, Leeds have been handed a much-needed boost following the international break, with Farke revealing that Ramazani has returned to training and could be available over the coming matches.

The 23-year-old has been a breath of fresh air since arriving from Almeria during the summer, notching three goals and one assist in eight Championship matches.

However, his return from injury could spell bad news for one of his teammates as he looks to reclaim his spot back in the starting XI.

Daniel Farke to axe Dan James for Largie Ramazani at Leeds United?

In Ramazani's last three starts before sustaining his injury, the Belgian winger has started on the left wing, leaving Brenden Aaronson in the attacking midfield spot and pushing Wilfried Gnonto onto the right flank.

Without the 23-year-old, Gnonto has mainly occupied the left-hand side while James has been flying down the opposite side, though the Welshman is the likeliest to make way once Ramazani returns.

Despite a stellar 2023/24 campaign, notching 13 goals and seven assists in the Championship, he has yet to start firing this term, having only hit the back of the net on two occasions.

Farke is rarely one to risk a player who has only just returned from injury, but with Leeds so close to the summit of the Championship table, he may have no choice against tough opposition during the winter period.
