Crysencio Summerville and Glen Kamara axed – Leeds United predicted XI v Sheffield Wednesday
Daniel Farke could be forced into making several changes to his Leeds United starting lineup when they face Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night (8 March).
The Whites travel to Hillsborough for a huge Championship clash as they look to break back into the automatic promotion places, following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Stoke City at Elland Road on Tuesday (5 March).
But with such a quick turnaround and a hectic schedule, the boss could be forced to make changes to the side in what will no doubt be a difficult fixture.
Leeds United: Defence wins championships
Illan Meslier has been in fantastic form this season and picked up his 16th clean sheet of the season so far against Stoke, making some key saves in the process.
He will start and the defence ahead of him is likely to be a familiar one with Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon continuing a partnership that has conceded just three goals in their last 11 games.
Junior Firpo was rested after a calf complaint but was a late substitute so should be ready to start at left-back, while Connor Roberts could continue on the right after a strong performance.
That could also allow for young superstar Archie Gray to return to a midfield role, with Glen Kamara looking leggy and in need of a rest in the centre of the pitch. Ilia Gruev also continues to impress and another start is on the cards for the Bulgarian to provide balance.
Time for Crysencio Summerville to be rested by Leeds?
Daniel James returned to the starting lineup with the only goal against Stoke so it seems likely that he will keep his place, while Georginio Rutter was brought off seemingly in a bid to protect him for this game.
With Patrick Bamford finding the net regularly in recent weeks it could be another chance for him to start although Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe are knocking hard on the door for a starting spot.

But the big decision revolves around star man Crysencio Summerville for this game, with the Dutch winger on a five-game run without a goal and looking increasingly tired.
With Wilfried Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony both expected to be available it could be the right time to hand him a rest, with the Italian to get the nod amid his recent strong goalscoring form.
In other Leeds news, £50m+ rival development could see the Whites lose a key player this summer.
