Andrea Radrizzani basically confirms Leeds United are about to sign Rasmus Kristensen on Twitter
Andrea Radrizzani’s social media activity in the last 24 hours has all but confirmed that Leeds United are signing Red Bull Salzburg right-back Rasmus Kristensen.
Guardian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter earlier this week (3 June) that Leeds are set to reach a “full agreement” to sign the 24-year-old Denmark international.
It is understood that the former Ajax right-back is expected to sign for Leeds “in the coming days” and that he’ll undergo a medical with the Yorkshire giants once he’s finished on international duty with Denmark.
Based on that report, Kristensen looks as though he’ll become Leeds’ second signing since the end of the 2021/22 season, joining Brenden Aaronson in quitting Red Bull Salzburg to join Jesse Marsch’s side in West Yorkshire.
And now, Leeds chairman Radrizzani seems to have all-but confirmed the deal is a goer by liking a tweet about the Dane heading to Elland Road.
You can see in the image below how Alison Adams’ tweet saying she loves Kristensen already has been liked by Radrizzani on his personal Twitter account.
Radrizzani wouldn’t have liked that tweet if a deal wasn’t happening.
He’s the club owner – he cannot like something relating to transfer rumours unless the talk of a deal was true.
Radrizzani’s known to Leeds fans for his Twitter activity.
He’s not afraid to back himself, his players or the club up to angry fans while he also loves to revel in a good victory.
The Italian businessman knows what he’s doing here – he’s teasing us.
There’s no doubt that Radrizzani knows that this deal is all but completed and he’s got Leeds fans across the world on his hook with this tweet.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites also want to sign this “incredible” forward and a player-plus-cash deal has been mooted.
