Rudy Cline-Thomas is a new name in the 49ers Enterprises takeover of Leeds United, with a boardroom seat likely on the table, according to Phil Hay.

The Athletic journalist shared that his investment at Elland Road is likely being made through Mastry, a company which put money into Uber at the start of its rise.

Cline-Thomas is part of investment at Plymouth Argyle, and to fit with EFL regulations, he is set to gift his shares back to the club to clear the path for a move to Leeds.

Cline-Thomas is set to be installed as the new Director at Elland Road, with more new faces emerging with each passing week in West Yorkshire.

The 49ers Enterprises takeover is said to become official within weeks after an agreement was reached with mutliples tests needing to be passed first.

Paraag Marathe is the new chairman of Leeds United, taking over from Andrea Radrizzani after the takeover, and he is wasting no time already.

With Angus Kinnear set to stick around, there is still a new-look boardroom that is needing to be installed around them two key faces at Elland Road.

On top of that, there is the hunt for a new manager and the likely mad wave of players signing on and being sold ahead of the Championship season starting.

Nick Hammond was brought into help matters, but that is a temporary appointment only for the next three months with a focus on transfers, it seems.

Cline-Thomas looks to have a real business-centered attitude, something that could help Leeds really try and conquer the American sports market with the 49ers, more than they have managed already.

It is a real area for growth to target, and once everything is ironed out, it looks more likely than not that the boardroom at Leeds will another member.
