Leeds United development on cards at Elland Road after new £100m+ 49ers deal
49ers Enterprises have signed a £134million stadium naming deal with Levi’s to continue their sponsorship of the San Francisco 49ers’ stadium, which could see changes at Leeds United, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported via their print edition on 29 January that it would be no surprise if, following the proposed redevelopment of Elland Road, the stadium was also turned into a similar type of multi-purpose venue.
The Levi’s Stadium also hosts concerts, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonce and the Rolling Stones having performed there, and similar could be due to take place in Leeds.
Beyonce at Elland Road
It is noted in the Daily Mail article that this part of the country has no major stadium concert venue, which you can assume would make Elland Road the first choice for any touring artist to book for a performance in Yorkshire.
Superstar names the likes of Beyonce and Swift who have performed at the 49ers’ other venue turning up to Leeds to perform would certainly be new, but it would make sense from a financial perspective for the club and the owners to make it happen.
This has already been seen in some of the bigger stadiums around the country, particularly the likes of Tottenham which has seen performances from Beyonce, Lady Gaga and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, as well as world-title boxing fights with the likes of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury involved.

The idea of the likes of Beyonce showing up for a performance at Elland Road is also a funny one but has no impact on the club or operations other than a revenue boost, so any movement towards that would certainly make sense.
In other Leeds United news, the club are working on deadline-busting transfer deals.
