Leicester City show Manor Solomon interest as Leeds United eye other targets
Tottenham forward Manor Solomon is still set to join Leeds United despite interest from Premier League side Leicester City, according to HITC.
Writing on their website [24 August], the outlet reported that the Whites had also fought off interest from Ipswich Town, Sheffield United and Norwich City to secure the signature of the Israeli winger.
Daniel Farke has promised Leeds supporters that there will be more transfer activity before the 30 August deadline [Sky Sports], and will move on to alternative targets as Solomon undergoes his medical ahead of the loan move [Paul O Keefe].
Leeds United have won the race to sign Manor Solomon
Solomon has endured a torrid spell in England since his loan move to Fulham in 2022. The campaign was plagued by injury but his performances earned him a permanent move to the Premier League with Tottenham the following year.
The 25-year-old was a standout player for Shakhtar Donetsk and will be looking to replicate his form in Ukraine at Elland Road this season.
Leeds supporters are ecstatic with this latest Farke signing and rightfully so. The Whites have added a new dimension to their attack and another player with Premier League experience to join an already brimming squad.
The work is not yet finished for Farke. New signing Largie Ramazani alongside Solomon will help fill the void left by Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, but there is still the task of replacing other outgoing players.

FC Koln midfielder Dejan Ljubicic appeared to be the priority target [BILD], but that move has since collapsed, perhaps because a more suitable target has emerged.
No names have been mentioned yet. That will change in the coming days as we approach the 30 August deadline and Leeds focus on strengthening their options beyond the impressive Solomon signing.
