Daniel Farke squad stance emerges at Leeds United amid Championship players used statistic

Leeds United were involved in a very busy summer transfer window, with a lot of movement taking place in terms of both incomings and outgoings.

A new manager also arrived, and after taking some time to settle in at the club, Daniel Farke now has Leeds flying high.

The Whites currently sit sixth in the Championship table, keeping clean sheets in their last four matches, two of which were wins and two were draws.

There are plenty of reasons behind the success in recent times, and one may just be the number of players Farke has used this season.

As per Transfermarkt, the Whites manager has used 27 players so far, more than any other club. It also happens that the Elland Road outfit have 31 players in their squad, again more than any other Championship side.

Unfortunately for the man in the dugout, injuries to several of his important men have perhaps been the main reason behind him using that amount of players.

But concepts such as giving young players chances and fully figuring out who he can and cannot trust could also be behind the top-of-the-pile figure.

Farke will definitely need as big a squad as possible given the huge number of games that he must oversee this season, with that list of course only going to get bigger if the Whites happen to make it into the play-off stages.

Automatic promotion will, however, be the aim, but that is much easier said than done given the competitiveness of the English second division.

Leicester City, who were relegated with Leeds last season, undoubtedly look like the team to beat going forward, with Ipswich Town also going strong.

In other Leeds United news, a journalist has mooted further development for one Whites ace as a Marcus Thuram comparison is made.
