Sky Sports journalist shares huge Bielsa & Radrizzani contract development

Marcelo Bielsa has “reached a full agreement” with Andrea Radrizzani to extend his Leeds United contract by another year, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Sky Sports Italy journalist wrote on his personal website that Bielsa will continue to manage the Whites in the Premier League after achieving promotion from the Championship with them last season.

Leeds fans have been waiting – some more patiently than others – for an official update on Bielsa’s contract situation with him technically out of contract since the end of last season.

However, the Argentine has been spotted in the area and all the updates on his future at Elland Road have been positive.

The Athletic journalist Phil Hay offered the last big update on Bielsa’s future on August 8 when he said that the Leeds manager has “essentially agreed” a new deal with the Yorkshire giants.

Now, Di Marzio’s update suggests that everything is 100 per cent agreed and that means an announcement could be made by the club very, very soon.

This is the news that all Leeds are waiting on.

While it’s nice to see new players being signed to strengthen the team, getting Bielsa’s future sorted out is the top priority at the moment.

No one has been that worried about losing the Argentine but it is odd that these negotiations have rumbled on for so long.

As far as we know, Bielsa hasn’t left the country to return to Argentina so he can see his family.

Instead, you can guarantee he’s been sat in Yorkshire, working hard on his plans for next season knowing that an acceptable new contract will be offered to him in good time.

Now players are back in training, there’s no time like the present to finally release an announcement.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have made a bid to sign this 23-year-old English forward.
