Phil Hay shares what Jesse Marsch told him about 49ers after meeting this week
Phil Hay has shared that Jesse Marsch has held meetings with the 49ers as he met the media as Leeds United manager for the first time.
The American has taken the ropes from Marcelo Bielsa, and appears to have made a big impact at Elland Road already.
Marsch made it very clear that it was inaccurate that an “Americanisation” was happening in West Yorkshire this month.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay shared what Marsch said when questioned about meeting the 49ers.
“Marsch has met officials from the 49ers ‘but to say that’s why I’m here or to say there’s an Americanisation of this club would be inaccurate’,” he said.
Strong.
This was a strong start by Marsch as he faced the media.
There were always going to be questions regarding the new American influence in the club, but this appointment is on merit.
Marsch has been with RB Leipzig and with RB Salzburg, big clubs who have tasted big success in recent years.
It is no secret that the 49ers have the right to become majority shareholders at Elland Road, so there will have been some consultation before this decision was made by Andrea Radrizzani.
Everyone has to be on the same page here, and it looks as though the relationship has already been built beforehand.
It is time to back the new man at Elland Road, with 12 cup finals to come before we can think of any next step – staying in the Premier League is all that matters right now.
