Patrick Bamford delighted with life at Leeds United amid contract talks
Patrick Bamford, speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, has revealed just how much he is loving life with Leeds United as his contract talks rumble on.
The Athletic reported in May that Leeds had activated an extension clause in Bamford’s contract last summer, putting to bed reports that his deal would expire in 2022, though talks over a new one are ongoing.
Bamford scored 17 goals in the Premier League, having previously only ever scored one goal in the top flight. At Leeds, he has a manager who trusts him and a team that creates lots of chances for him, so why would he think about going anywhere else [YEP]?

He said: “I think this time round is probably the most settled I’ve been. I love living in the area; I love the club; it’s like a family in football. I can’t speak highly enough of how everything has gone.
“It couldn’t have gone any better. I had a little bit of a sticky start with the injury, but since then, it’s all been uphill.”
Bamford sounds settled
This is a positive interview from Bamford, and it is great to hear that he is fully settled and happy at Elland Road.
Of course, it would be nice to sort out his new deal, but it doesn’t sound as if the former Chelsea man is in any rush to leave the Whites, so Leeds fans can probably be a bit more relaxed over his contract talks.
You would expect Bamford to sign one as there seems to be no reason why he wouldn’t with Marcelo Bielsa still there; he has a manager who has total faith in him.

Bamford has had his critics in the past, but he made a lot of them look silly last season as he finished as the second-highest English goalscorer in the league and will surely be looking to continue where he left off this year.
Overall, Bamford sounds very happy to be a Leeds player and his future will no doubt be resolved soon.
