Pascal Struijk injured feet after ‘Explosive’ Leeds incident at Thorp Arch – Graham Smyth
Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk injured his feet after an “explosive moment” in training at Thorp Arch.
Graham Smyth shared the news as he detailed the crisis hitting Marcelo Bielsa harder than ever at Elland Road.
Charlie Cresswell is another defender to pick up an injury at Thorp Arch, dislocating his shoulder after a teammate landed on top of him.

Writing for the Yorkshire Evening Post, Smyth shared more information on the injury as the crisis appears to be getting no better.
“It’s hard to imagine he’s ever gone through a period in which so many key players have picked up injuries, as problem after problem has presented itself but it’s certain that he has never had to contend with players hurting themselves with such a high degree of misfortune,” he wrote.
“Two of the bones in Pascal Struijk’s feet collided during an ‘explosive moment’ on the training pitch.”

Unexplainable.
We know Bielsa pushes his players to the maximum, and it has clearly brought the best out of every single one of them.
But, surely there is a point where it needs to be dragged back.
When players are dropping like flies, the last thing we need is players injuring each other during training – it simply makes no sense.
Cresswell dislocating his shoulder, and Struijk injuring himself in an “explosive” moment doesn’t sit 100% right with us.
Especially when both are looking at long-term absences – it is stupid to think that it was caused by our own and not in the rough and tumble of the Premier League.
