Leeds United set to make no redundancies if relegated from Premier League this season – report
Leeds United are set to make no redundancies if they are relegated from the Premier League this weekend, according to the Daily Mail.
It is reported that staff are set to be mightily relieved despite the income of the Championship being much lower than that of the top flight.
Of course, Leeds are still outside of the relegation zone, but could find themselves starting the final game in the bottom three should Burnley avoid defeat against Aston Villa on Thursday evening [19 May].

Writing in his latest piece for the Daily Mail, Mike Keegan shared how relegation could affect things daily at Elland Road.
“It is understood there would be no redundancies, which will come as a relief to staff,” he wrote.
“And although nobody wants to go down, Leeds are likely to be in a decent position financially having structured all first-team contracts to include relegation clauses.”

Protected.
Of course, it is good to see the financial side of the club protected should the worst happen this weekend.
But, we should never have been in this position in the first place, with our failure to spend any money on new players the main reason behind our demise with our squad decimated by injuries.
Andrea Radrizzani is a good businessman and he will have the best interest of the club in his mind, but relegation would be a major blow to his legacy at Elland Road.
Should Burnley lose on Thursday evening against Aston Villa [19 May], Leeds will only need to better their result on the final day to remain in the Premier League.
That has to be the main goal right now, and it is painful to have to rely on others for now.
At least the livelihood of those working behind-the-scenes at the club, the ones who will rarely, if ever be noticed will be protected no matter what – that is brilliant news.
