Leeds United hurt by Barcelona hunt for Raphinha, winger rejects other offers to stop transfer auction
Leeds United star Raphinha has turned a deaf ear on all proposals except Barcelona’s this summer to prevent a major transfer auction, according to SPORT.
The Spanish newspaper have reported [06 June, pg.17] that the chief of the Nou Camp giants, Mateu Alemany has travelled to West Yorkshire to continue discussions over a move for the Brazilian at the start of this week.
It is suggested that Barcelona cannot pay the £55.6million starting price, and instead can only go up to £34.3million, with their pause in negotiations hurtful to Leeds and Angus Kinnear.

Raphinha has the dream of following his childhood idol Ronaldinho to the Nou Camp in his career, but their extreme financial difficulties is making things much harder.
Barcelona are counting on the player to push this one through, but the price and demands of Leeds are said to be a real stumbling block at this moment.
Deco is finally set to step aside now too, with negotiations only set to continue between Kinnear and Alemany, as the Whites stand firm over their price.

Pay up.
We’re not quite certain on what it is that Barcelona do not get – either they pay up or they can forget about it.
It sounds harsh to say, but What Raphinha wants means nothing at this stage, as he is under contract for another two years at Elland Road and has a pricetag on his head.
Barcelona and Deco got themselves into a mess by trying to complete the deal before talks with Leeds even begun, and now they have, they have got huge problems.
Leeds want a minimum of around £55million, which will have been clear from the off, but yet here we are learning what everyone knew and that is that the Spanish club have no money.
They can’t even register Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen yet, so why on earth are they still pushing for more signings? It makes no sense.
Raphinha supposedly turning a deaf ear on other potential moves to prevent an auction means that the most likely outcome in this saga is that he remains at Elland Road.
One thing we can say for certain, is Alemany and Barcelona are a joke.
