Leeds United confirmed team news v Brentford: Major Patrick Bamford update
Jesse Marsch has confirmed his Leeds United team news for the final day Premier League showdown with Brentford that is set to decide the future of the club.
The Whites now need to better the result of Burnley on Sunday afternoon [22 May], and simply cannot lose this game if they don’t want to be in the Championship.
Marsch has confirmed a major update on Patrick Bamford, with no final decision made on him and Luke Ayling has undergone surgery after being suspended on a knee problem.

Ayling is said to be out for two to four months, and there is hope that he will be ready for the start of next season no matter which division they are in.
Bamford has a day off today, so minutes are not guaranteed on the final day, but there are also huge hopes that he will be able to feature at Brentford.
Must win.
We can’t go into this just trying to better the result of Burnley, we have to leave beyond doubt.
Going to Brentford and picking up three points would be huge, as it would then mean that the Clarets would need to do the same against Newcastle only two days after their last game.
Leeds have relied on others too much this season without doing the jobs themselves, and now it is time to prove that they belong in the Premier League.
Many will need to be much better than they were against Brighton last time out, starting with Rodrigo who had an absolute shocker, as well as Raphinha, who needs to get back to his very best in what will no doubt be his final game for the club.
The shocking goal difference picked up while under the stewardship of Marcelo Bielsa is finally coming back to bite us, and we are already dreading the worst happening this weekend.
How has it come to this? It’s not good enough.
