Leeds United attacker Patrick Bamford will not return from injury until January

Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford has endured a shocking Premier League season so far at Elland Road.

After picking up an injury against Newcastle back in September, the England international was ruled out for months.

Bamford finally returned for the 2-2 draw against Brentford at the start of this month, scoring the equaliser before picking up yet another injury.

The Guardian has shared the latest on his injury problem, and it is not very good news for the Whites.

Marcelo Bielsa will be without Bamford for the next three games of this month against Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Writing in their preview for tomorrow’s game, the newspaper shared on their website that the striker will not return until January.

“Injured: Bamford (hamstring, Jan),” they wrote.

“Phillips (Hamstring/shoulder, Feb), Struijk (foot, unknown), Cooper (hamstring, unknown), Rodrigo (foot, unknown), Shackleton (achilles, unknown), James (hip, unknown).”

Blow.

Could things really get any worst for Leeds right now?

Rumours going around social media appear to suggest that Luke Ayling and Charlie Cresswell will also be missing tomorrow against Arsenal, so maybe they could.

Bamford coming back against Brentford was the boost that everyone had been waiting for, but it was just our luck that those couple of minutes during the wild celebrations would be all we will get from him for the rest of the year.

Something is seriously going wrong at Thorp Arch at this moment in time, and maybe it is something that needs to be addressed as we are seriously getting to the point where we won’t have enough players – that is if we aren’t there already.
