Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison back in gym after heavy injury blow v Arsenal

Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison limping off against Arsenal on Saturday evening was the last thing that everyone wanted to see.

The Whites currently have don’t even have 11 senior players to choose from, so Marcelo Bielsa confirming it was a dead leg was somewhat of a relief.

Harrison has posted an update on social media in the past 24 hours, and it looks as though it could be brilliant news for the Whites.

Sharing on his personal Instagram account, Harrison has been spotted back in the gym working ahead of the Liverpool clash on Boxing Day.

“Recovering,” he captioned the video on his story.

It may only be bike work, but it is good to see that he is now able to go through his paces ahead of the trip to Anfield.

Major boost?

This doesn’t confirm that Harrison will be available for the trip to Anfield on Sunday, but it would be brilliant news.

Leeds literally have nearly no one left to choose from, so another injury would simply be catastrophic.

Injuries have decimated the squad in the build-up to Christmas and New Year, and it would be nice to see some faces returning before new ones are added to the list of players ruled out.

A dead leg usually takes a few days to recover, so if Harrison can get back on the grass today or tomorrow ahead of the weekend, he should be fine to keep his spot.

With good news very hard to come by right now at Elland Road, we’ll file this one under brilliant development – that’s how low the bar has become.
