Classic Leeds PL victory to air in two-hour special on Sky Sports on Easter Sunday

Leeds United fans may be stuck indoors for Easter weekend due to the coronavirus pandemic – but at least there is something for them to watch on television.

On Easter Sunday, Sky Sports will be airing a two-hour special at 12pm which features Leeds’ famous Premier League win against Liverpool in 2000.

It is followed by Arsenal and Tottenham’s 4-4 draw in 2008 at 2pm and Manchester United’s 4-3 win against Manchester City in 2009 at 4pm.

We are all missing our football fix as it has been over a month since Leeds beat Huddersfield 2-0 in their final Championship fixture before the coronavirus pandemic led to the season being forced to halt.

However at least Sky Sports are keeping their subscribers happy by airing some classic Premier League encounters.

We won’t spoil what happens in the Leeds match against Liverpool for those who may be too young to remember it and want to watch the entire 90 minutes of the game as though it’s their first time watching it. But it is definitely worth watching a team that included the likes of Dominic Matteo, Lee Bowyer, Mark Viduka and Alan Smith play.

Liverpool boasted a strong team too back then with Jamie Carragher, Danny Murphy, Patrik Berger, Steven Gerrard and Robbie Fowler in their side.

It is definitely something we recommend Leeds fans watch this Sunday.
