Angus Kinnear jokes about big fine for Luke Ayling after Leeds United celebrations

Angus Kinnear has joked about Luke Ayling picking up a big fine for his celebration in the huge Leeds United win over Wolves.

The club chief labelled the celebrations of Ayling as “appalling” after he slammed home a final minute winner at Molineux.

Nohan Kenneh picked up a booking for his celebrations off the bench, with his fine said to be going to Ayling instead.

Writing in the official matchday programme against Southampton, as shared by Adam Pope on Twitter, Kinnear joked about the scenes.

“Nohan Kenneh wrote himself into Leeds United folklore by becoming the only player to receive his first booking before he played his first competitive minute,” he wrote.

“In respect of this achievement, we have waived the standard club fine and added it onto the one Luke Ayling will be receiving for his appalling goal celebration.”

Scenes.

We lost count of how many of our players were booked in those scenes at Wolves before the international break.

It looks as though it was fines galore, something that will no doubt be worth it for the likes of Ayling who will never forget those scenes.

Kinnear is obviously joking, but the Whites no doubt had to pay out a lot of money for the matter, with half of the bench booked.

Kenneh was joined by Kalvin Phillips and Crysencio Summerville in running to the celebrations, so no doubt those two were booked too.

Who cares about that now though? We now have another important game with Southampton in a matter of hours to win.

Let’s hope for some similar scenes, albeit less stressful ones, this afternoon.
