View: New Fan Denial video on Leeds shock win v Man City may be best yet

It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Leeds United sprang one of the shocks of the season when they beat Man City 2-1 at The Etihad.

Even the most optimistic Leeds fan would have been fearing the worst when Liam Cooper was sent off at the end of the first half of the game.

Leeds had a 1-0 lead at that point but spent the second 45 with their backs against the wall until Stuart Dallas completed a smash and grab in the 90th minute.

If Leeds fans were fearing the worst, you can imagine what the Man City fans were thinking.

Coming of age

The game on Saturday saw us take a total of four points from the team who will go on to lift the Premier League trophy this season.

The first game was an absolute thriller that either side could have won.

The game on Saturday was one that Man City really should have won but they couldn't find a way past Illan Meslier, despite having 29 shots to our two.

We haven't always been the most efficient side at taking chances under Bielsa but we did the business in front of goal at The Etihad.

It might have been a freak result – the sort that went against Leeds in the Championship – but no one could say that Leeds didn't deserve it.

Next up? Last season's champions Liverpool, who know all about what we can do after we gave them an almighty scare in the opening game of the season when Klopp's side ended up winning 4-3 thanks to a late penalty.
