Joleon Lescott has predicted Leeds United and Aston Villa to share the spoils when the two sides meet on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard's men will visit Elland Road in the Premier League and hope to extend their good run of form.

They took a point off Manchester City and then beat Southampton as well and will surely want at least a point from their travels to west Yorkshire.

Speaking to Livescore, Lescott, a Sky Sports pundit, said, "Recent results mean Aston Villa will travel to Yorkshire in good spirits and another win would see them start to build some real momentum.

"However, the Elland Road factor is in play with the Whites having impressed on their own turf this term.

"All things considered, I have to go with my head and say this one ends level.

"Prediction: Leeds 1-1 Aston Villa."

Home advantage

Leeds have been a completely different beast at home this season and that will play a huge role.

For Lescott to mention it and then completely dismiss it, is baffling, to say the least.

Gerrard's side are yet to find their rhythm despite having a good month in September.

They do not look like one of the most expensive sides in the league and are undoubtedly there for the taking.

Anything less than three points would not be acceptable for Marsch and he will deliver this message to his players.

He would also want to give them much-needed confidence as heads would've dropped after losing 5-2 against Brentford and a win would go a long way.
