Beren Cross shares 'assumption' on potential new Leeds badge with club tight-lipped
There was outrage when Leeds United first released images of their supposed new badge last year.
It was that bad that Andrea Radrizzani and the club decided to scrap that and continue their quest to honour the Whites' centenary year.
Leeds have gone quiet ever since then, and there are no ideas when they could introduce the badge change - something which could happen with the club in the Premier League.
Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross has delivered his assumptions on the badge situation on Saturday, claiming that it may still happen for next season.
"Leeds United have remained tight-lipped on the crest they may use next season once the centenary campaign is done and dusted," he wrote.
"The assumption is there will be something new for 2020/21, given the birthday will have been and gone by the time the new season gets going."
It's decisions like this that seem small that can send Leeds' passionate fan base into your worst nightmare, and last year's reaction will certainly be at the back of Radrizzani's head.
Social media is full of fans creating their own submissions for the new badge, but there is a slight feeling of if it isn't broken don't fix, and that may be the best decision in this case.
There was a slight change this year of course, with the badge now gold and having the 1919-2019 inscription at either side.
