Mateusz Klich has sent a new message to Leeds United fans ahead of the crucial Championship clash between Coventry and Ipswich which could decide the promotion battle.

With the battle for promotion set to come down to the final day of the season, a win for Ipswich would mean they only need one point on Saturday to secure promotion.

Because of that, all Leeds fans will be supporting Coventry as a home win would see the promotion challengers level on points going into the final day - and Leeds with a superior goal difference.

Taking to his personal X account [30 April], Klich wrote: "All Coventry Aren't We? MOT".

Coventry v Ipswich crucial to Leeds United promotion push

Ipswich know they need to take four points from their final two games to secure promotion ahead of their rivals, with the game in hand against Coventry providing the opportunity to pull three clear before the final game.

A win for Coventry, as Klich is backing, would mean Leeds only have to match Ipswich's result when they face Southampton to secure an automatic promotion place - although that will be easier said than done given their run of form.

If Leeds fail to earn promotion this season, they will only have themselves to blame after winning just one of their five games leading up until the final day against Southampton where a win may not even be enough to send them up.

The playoffs would be a daunting task for whichever club ends up finishing third, with Leeds' history in the competition providing bad memories for fans who will be scarred by the club's previous attempts at playoff promotion.
