Farke gave an update on the status of the Welshman for the Oxford United contest on 18 April in his pre-match press conference.
The German said: “We will definitely have him [James] available for the Monday game. If he can play on Friday, it’s a late decision.
"It’s pretty likely he will be involved on Monday. We will take a decision tomorrow.”

Rasmus Kristensen has spent the season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt and that move is set to be made permanent in the summer.
The Athletic reported (16 April) that Leeds will pocket £5.1million from the sale of the Danish international once it is finalised.
The transfer will leave the Whites out of pocket as they paid £10million for the 27-year-old back in 2022.
Ilia Gruev has struggled for game time at Elland Road this season but intends to stick around despite interest in his services.
A report from TEAMtalk (16 April) claims that the Whites have received several approaches for the Bulgarian midfielder.
However, it states that the 24-year-old is not willing to consider any attempt to pry him away from Yorkshire as Farke's side look set for the Premier League.
Liverpool have named their price for Leeds United target Caoimhin Kelleher as the Whites continue to search for an Illan Meslier replacement.
