'Some player' - Many Leeds fans rave about U23s ace v Bolton who 'Has to start Saturday'

Robbie Gotts managed to get on the scoresheet for the Leeds United Under-23s side on Monday as they won 5-1 against Bolton at the Lancashire FA ground.

The 20-year-old has been a regular in Marcelo Bielsa’s matchday squad in the first-team this season but is still waiting to make his senior debut.

Gotts has been an unused substitute 16 times in all competitions this term and even started on the bench for the Under-23s in Lancashire on Monday night.

However the youngster did eventually make an appearance and scored to put Carlos Corberan’s side 4-1 ahead after a good counter-attacking move.

Gotts’ display off the bench in the Under-23s certainly got fans talking on Twitter, especially after Bielsa made a deal about not using the youngster enough in his first-team last week.

Bielsa, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, said that Gotts has “got a lot less than what he deserves” and that he understands if the young defender-slash-midfielder would want to quit Elland Road.

While it remains to be seen whether Gotts is that unhappy with his lack of game-time, he would no doubt be thrilled to have scored for the Under-23s on Monday, just like these fans are:

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are readying an offer to sign a player previously managed by Bielsa.
