Leeds United under-23s have named a strong starting XI for their Premier League 2 Division 2 clash against Aston Villa on Friday evening.
Mark Jackson has named only one first-team player in his squad, with Adam Forshaw upping his rehabilitation from his long-term injury.
Confirmed on the Whites’ official Twitter account prior to kick-off, the under-23s will likely be watched by Marcelo Bielsa with the senior side not playing until Monday.

Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood will be critical to Leeds picking up the point needed for promotion, although we suspect they will be charging for all three.
Having the experience of someone such as Forshaw in the heart of midfield will be critical, and him being involved in a night of potential success will be the boost he needs.
After two years out of action due to his huge injury problems, being back out on the pitch and celebrating will be excellent to see for everyone involved at the club.
This is a huge clash with only three games to go in this season, as the young Whites look to earn promotion to the top level of the Premier League 2.
In our first season in the competition, Leeds have been untouchable for the majority of the campaign, and are rightly on the verge of sealing their title.
Jackson’s side only needs a single point from the nine left available and will be looking to earn that at the earliest stage against Villa.
Next season will be the real challenge, as the young Whites will test their might against the big clubs such as the Manchester two, Chelsea and Arsenal.
