Leeds United are struggling on the pitch and no player illustrates this better than Kiko Casilla at the moment.
The goalkeeper – who was so strong at the start of the season – is seemingly making a big blunder every game, with the latest against Brentford gifting them their only goal of the game in a 1-1 draw.
Dropping your keeper is a big step, though.
Leeds might have Illan Meslier standing by on the sidelines, and he put in a brilliant performance in his only senior appearance in the FA Cup against Arsenal.
But he’s untested in the Championship and if he doesn’t react well to the huge amount of pressure that’s on Leeds at the moment, what then?
The decision might get taken out of Bielsa’s hands soon anyway. Casilla is in front of the FA next week and will face a minimum six-game ban if he is found guilty of racist abuse.
Given all of this, should Bielsa drop Casilla for the game against Bristol City at Elland Road on Saturday?
That’s the question we put to our panel of Super Fans – this is what they had to say…
Barry Monaghan (@jbarrymon)
Martin Charlesworth (@mcharlesworth10)
Chris Coleman (@BlueOct_ChrisC)
Jordy Phillips (@JordyP1993)
Adam Elliott (@adam_elliott118)
Tim Aubert (@TimAubert)
It’s a clean sweep for our Super Fans.
All of them think that Illan Meslier should come in for Casilla, but none of them expect it to happen before his FA hearing next week.
