'This kid is something special' - Some Leeds fans gush over U23s ace, one compares him to Messi
Mateusz Bogusz scored the only goal of the game as the Leeds United Under-23s side won 1-0 against Sheffield Wednesday at Thorp Arch on Monday night.
Bogusz, 18, slotted home the winner 10 minutes into the second half after he managed to get on the end of a low cross by Alfie McCalmont.
The Poland Under-21 international is one of the stand-out players in Leeds’ Under-23s squad and after hitting the back of the net on Monday, supporters of the Yorkshire club have become even more vocal about his potential.
Bogusz is someone who has already been seen in the first-team squad this season.
Marcelo Bielsa handed him his Leeds debut when he played 90 minutes of the Carabao Cup defeat to Stoke in August.
While that game did end in defeat, it was promising to see a young player like Bogusz get a chance to impress.
And now, with him continuing to impress in the Under-23s squad, fans are even more eager to see more of the central midfielder.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
He can’t be too far away from getting a sniff of the 1st team squad this lad…… #LUFC

While it might be a bit over the top to start comparing Bogusz to Lionel Messi at this stage of his career, we can all hope that he turns out to be half as good as the Barcelona superstar.
