'Sign him up', 'Our new striker': These fans react as Leeds-linked hitman has spectacular Sunday

Odsonne Edouard picked up in the new season where he left off in the last – scoring goals for fun, and it’s got the attention of Leeds United fans.

The Celtic striker bagged a hat-trick in the first game back for Celtic as they smashed a sorry Hamilton side 5-1.

Leeds have been linked with a move for Edouard with the Mirror claiming that both Marcelo Bielsa and Brendan Rodgers want the Celtic striker to spearhead their Premier League campaigns.

And, with an extended transfer window, Celtic manager Neil Lennon is going to be having sleepless nights if Edouard keeps scoring like this.

Leeds fans were given further hope last week when Frank McAvennie claimed Edouard looked “disinterested” in pre-season and that Celtic should accept a big bid for him.

Edouard looked pretty interested in the game against Hamilton, scoring the first goal of the game in the 20th minute.

Just over half an hour later he’d bagged a hat-trick and after the game he got his revenge against McAvennie, tweeting indirectly at the veteran pundit.

His goal-scoring exploits weren’t missed by Leeds fans, with some calling for Bielsa to make his move for the prolific hitman…
