Salim Lamrani sends seven-word tweet on Leeds star after recent interview

Despite leaving the club in the summer, Salim Lamrani holds a place in the heart of many Leeds United fans.

Marcelo Bielsa’s well-known former translator became a big hit in West Yorkshire, as he often had a nickname for each player that he would share on social media – something us fans would lap up.

One of those was Gaetano ‘The Lion’ Berardi, with the Swiss defender known for his no-nonsense style in defence during his many years at the club.

Berardi recently spoke to the Yorkshire Evening Post, revealing that he is happy at the club as he nears the end of his current deal which expires at the end of this campaign.

Lamrani was a fan of that interview and sent a seven-word Tweet about Berardi on Tuesday evening, claiming that everyone can learn from the experienced Leeds star.

“There’s always something to learn from Berardi,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Berardi is one of the more experienced players available to Bielsa, who has often had to rely on a handful of academy options since he arrived at the club.

If any player can show an ounce of the passion that the defender has for the club in their performances, then they will be halfway there to having a successful career at Elland Road.
