Leeds manager provides injury update on Ayling, Firpo and Bamford
Leeds manager Jesse Marsch has provided an update on the potential returns of Luke Ayling, Junior Firpo and Patrick Bamford ahead of the trip to Brighton on Saturday.
The trio, who are all important members of the Whites’ first-team squad, are all currently away from the team with injuries.
However, the manager has now provided an update on their potential returns, with the Athletic’s Phil Hay revealing that the manager will be patient with their recovery.
Hay’s tweet said: “From Marsch’s press conference – Ayling and Firpo should be in full training next week. Bamford is ‘doing well and moving forward’ – still a call to make on him for Brighton away, but Marsch says the performance of the team is allowing him to be patient with [Bamford].”
The Whites have never been lucky with injuries, and to lose three important first-team members in the way they did was very unfortunate for the team.
Luckily for Leeds fans, the absences do not seem to have had too much, with the team unbeaten in their first three Premier League fixtures.
Ayling opted to had knee surgery at the end of last season and is now recovering from that successful operation in May.
Bamford limped off during the 2-2 draw against Southampton earlier in the season, but his injury is not expected to be serious. [Leeds Live]

Leeds fans will be hoping all three players can make full and quick recoveries and re-join the team who are flying at the moment.
In other Leeds news, the club are looking to confirm a deal for Kai Wagner as quickly as possible.
