'Unreal', 'Frightening' - These Leeds fans rave about ace v Sheffield Weds

The debate on whether Leeds should start with Eddie Nketiah or Patrick Bamford continues to roll on after the 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

Bamford started the game against Wednesday and looked short on confidence, but the former Middlesbrough man would have broken his duck in front of goal if it wasn’t for an excellent save from Kieran Westwood.

A knock to the ankle meant that Nketiah was given the chance in the second half once again, and he instantly made a positive impact.

The Arsenal loanee was a menace for the Wednesday defence, having a shot saved and almost assisting the winning goal, only for Jack Harrison’s effort to be cleared off the line.

Nketiah does offer much more pace in the final third, but Bamford defends from the front much better – as the ultimate debate didn’t seem to get any easier.

The 20-year-old has come off the bench in 10 Championship fixtures and has scored five goals if you add in his two Carabao Cup appearances.

That’s a goal every 88 minutes in the league [WhoScored], much better than Bamford, and it is clearly giving Marcelo Bielsa a massive headache moving forward at Elland Road.

Many Leeds fans took to Twitter to rave about Nketiah, with the majority claiming that the youngster is a frightening prospect in the final third and that he should be starting every game ahead of Bamford.
