Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O'Hara predict Leeds United to be relegated in talkSPORT video clip

Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara have both predicted Leeds United to be relegated in the 2022/23 Premier League season.

The Yorkshire side have made six summer additions thus far as Jesse Marsch looks to avoid a repeat of their awful 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

However, despite the influx of new players, the talkSPORT duo don’t hold out much hope for Leeds in the upcoming campaign.

Talking on talkSPORT EDGE on Thursday 4 August, O’Hara said: “I think Leeds are going to go down, they’ve bought in players but they’re unproven.”

Agbonlahor was quick to agree with O’Hara regarding his prediction.

The talkSPORT pundit said: “Fulham [will go down]

“Bournemouth with their manager coming out and saying they have a worse squad than when they got promoted.

“18th I am going to go to Leeds United.”

Trying to get a reaction

It’s fair to say that if Leeds had a squad littered with the world’s best players and had won the league the season before, Agbonlahor would still predict the Yorkshire side to go down.

Most Leeds fans are completely aware of the impact that Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha had at Elland Road and know how they will be missed.

However, Leeds have been proactive and busy in the transfer market, targeting younger players who could well be a big hit in the Premier League.

Up until Leeds got promoted Phillips had never played in the Premier League and no one had heard of Raphinha until a couple of years ago.

There is every chance that one of the new arrivals at Elland Road will go on to be a success just like the Brazilian was.

Brenden Aaronson’s preseason performances have certainly caught the eye, with the young American certainly someone to watch in the upcoming season.

This is just a typical example of why Agbonlahor in particular isn’t one of the most revered figures at Elland Road.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could make a move to seal this blockbuster transfer before they kick off against Wolves on Saturday.
